Adult Baptism Services At Christ Church
Baptism is an outward response to an inward transformation. It is the first response for someone who has come to faith in Christ. We have available a hot tub (for winter), cool outdoor tub both at church or possibly a warmer large swimming pool (for summer!) If you haven’t been baptised we would love to experience this incredible moment with you as we remember the work of God bringing you from death to life. Baptism Celebrations can be arranged during a Sunday morning service. If this is something you would like to talk about or see Pastor Scott to arrange a meeting. The Alpha Film Series is a global, updated and engaging resource designed to take people on a journey to explore the basics of the Christian faith. We will be running this as part of our Connect Group structure within a new group that is about to start. |
Baby/Child Dedications at Christ Church
Dedications are a special part of our service where we thank God for the wonderful gift of children or a new baby. By doing this, parents are undertaking to pray for their child and bring them up in the knowledge of Jesus until they are old enough to make their own decision to follow Christ. It is also an act of welcoming children into God's wider family, the church community. Becoming A Contagious Christian // Oct-Nov 2019 Contagious Christianity is a course designed to equip believers for effective evangelism in today's world. This 6 week course avoids stereotyped approaches that feel intimidating to many Christians and to their friends. Instead, it shows ordinary believers how they can share the gospel in natural and effective ways while being the person God made them to be. |
