About Us
Welcome!
Christ Church Cottingham is a friendly and welcoming independent Christian church family of all ages. We are contemporary but not compromising on the truth of the Bible. We are a mainstream Christian church but like many churches in the UK, we are not formally joined to any national denomination. We are members of the national Evangelical Alliance, a body which has over 4000 member churches of many different denominations, 25,000 individual members, and which represents about 2 million evangelical Christians in the UK.
We have four regular Sunday services (9am, 10.30am and two 6.32pm services)
**Online, Children's Ministry, 10:30am (Live service in the building also), 7pm Connect Group Thursday during COVID-19 restrictions that reflect different styles of worship. There are plenty of other things going on throughout the week, with youth and children’s activities, our cafe in the village, pastoral support and various connect (home) groups, a monthly coffee group and prayer meetings. There’s so much happening, explore our website to find out a bit more and most importantly, come and see what it’s like for yourself...
Our mission: The great mission is so simple. Its found in Matt 28:19 "To go and make disciples of all nations"
Our vision: "we create environments for people to meet Jesus"
Our strategy: Even that's not overly complicated...
We organise ourselves around our version of the 3 C's found in the CCC of Christ Church Cottingham.
-Celebrate: Every Sunday service, 1st Sunday connect lunches, & yearly special events are where we get to celebrate.
-Connect: Our connect groups & ministry groups are where we connect, whenever we get to serve together in outreach and mission.
-Contribute: We contribute our tithes & offerings, our time & skills, manna meals & anytime we get serve or help anywhere.
