When you arrive

We have 4 services, a 9am, 10.30am and 2 different evening services at 6.30pm
Our 10.30am service happens every week and is our larger family type service.
Our 9.00am service happens on the 1st and 3rd Sundays and is a bit more formal.
Our 6:30pm service happens on the 2nd Sunday evening and has more free worship and prophetic healing ministry.
Another 6:30pm service happens on the 4th Sunday evening and is our all church prayer meeting for one hour.

AS YOU PULL INTO THE CAR PARK
When you arrive, you will see a person directing you into our car park. Once inside the foyer you will be greeted and a seat awaits you in the service area. Before the service begins we have music playing in the background and we invite you get to know some of the people and familiarize yourself with our facility. There are toilets and crèche in the foyer, and children's ministry for children up to year 6 will be announced during the service at our 10.30am meeting. There will be name tagged hosts on hand to help you with anything...(We currently do not offer Children's Ministry or crèche during our 9:00am or 6:30pm service).
MUSIC
We use a mix of hymns, current songs, and instrumental creations. We sing in response to God. Who he is and what he has done is his grace in our lives and it propels us to worship. We enjoy the variety between our 9:00am, 10:30am and 6:30pm services.
SERMONS
The time when we hear from the Bible is an important part of every service when one of our preachers preach a sermon. Our Pastor and preaching team are committed to treating the Bible with respect by reading within its literary and historical context, attempting to understand the author’s intent, dealing with the specific words, and by addressing how culture and our lives are related to the gospel.
You will find yourself immersed in the story, discover purpose and passion, find practical application for your life today.
We suggest bringing a notepad and pen. Often we conclude with our sermons with prayer ministry opportunities and salvation.

COMMUNION
We share in communion on the first Sunday of each month at our 10:30am service and at our 9:00am service on the 3rd Sunday of the month. Communion is open to anyone with a resolve that faith in Jesus Christ is our only hope for us all. The Lord’s Supper is a commemoration and supplication for the grace provided for in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
GIVING AND GENEROSITY
This part of our service is not a payment, subscription nor a gimmick, but a joy and responsibility for those who consider Christ Church Cottingham their church. The money given goes to sustain and spread the mission of Christ Church Cottingham and beyond.
