BAPTISM
Christ Church Cottingham can host your baptism and we have our own heated baptism pool for this purpose.
The pool can be used indoors or outside in our garden.
Our minister and team are experienced and can help organise and lead your baptism.
For people that call Christ Church Cottingham home, we baptise Christians during one of our weekend services and we hold a short pre-baptism course based on your availability. Although we do not baptise infants, we do hold dedication services.
If you are not part of Christ Church Cottingham but as a Christian you would like to be baptised, in most circumstances we can baptise you outside of our weekend services by prior arrangement.
Our building has space for around 100 guests. We have a carpark including overflow off street parking and a small kitchen for after the service refreshments. We include a short pre-baptism course in the weeks leading up to your baptism date.
CHILD/INFANT DEDICATION
Child Dedication at Christ Church Cottingham is a beautiful and solemn promise made before God and the church to care for the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of your child(ren).
We do not believe a child is saved, given faith, or made right with God during his or her dedication.
By making this promise as a parent, you signify the following:
FAITH – Your own saving faith in Christ and desire to follow him.
DESIRE – Your desire to teach your children to live a honouring life.
PROMISE – Your promise to give your children every opportunity and encouragement to choose to follow Christ.
We want to give you prayer support, provide opportunities for you and your children to grow in your faith, and help demonstrate what it means to follow Christ. If Christ Church Cottingham is your home church and you are interested in having your child dedicated, we would be happy to assist you in preparing for this special day.
